Summer Fancy follows a dream over the summer months. No real plan of design, just the excitement through letting go, and intuitively making. Colour combinations influenced by the landscape of home, the subtle daily changes through the seasons. I live off-grid rural, and it’s a journey to the shops for any material, so I focus on blending thrift shop finds, and discarded materials, up-cycled into my work; the people’s current cost of living crisis affects spending. Textile-focused, and hand-made, the intuitive method and practice finds a way to express my heart and vision. This work can be considered not perfect, and this is why I like it so much. The imperfect is perfect to me. I guess perfection is one’s perspective?
